Somali Service Community Organization (SOSCO) is a youth-led, independent organization registered in Somalia, with its base in Southwest State and activities across all regions. Founded on June 30, 2019, by young Somali intellectuals and activists, SOSCO was established to strengthen community resilience and help people realize their full potential in times of challenge and crisis.
Our work focuses on protecting livelihoods, promoting education, empowering women and youth, advancing peace, and safeguarding human rights—especially for marginalized and vulnerable groups.
At the heart of our approach is grassroots engagement: we involve local communities in decision-making and mobilize youth to foster education, peace, tolerance, and development.
SOSCO partners with the Government of Somalia, civil society, and both national and international NGOs—including African Education Trust (AET) and CEPASDAfrica—to deliver sustainable impact and lasting change.

We assist and support vulnerable communities in achieving progress and prosperity with emergency relief, protection, livelihood and educational programs, while integrating our values of respect, impartiality, quality, accountability, advocacy and innovation in all our work.
We envision a day when there is no more poverty, ignorance in the Horn of Africa and every person’s dignity is protected, and develop their leadership qualities to make them active contributor within the society.
SOSCO’s target groups include women, children, boys, girls, youths and disabled persons. SOSCO conducted research and assessments in Somalia and therefore fully understands the target area and communities through partnerships with UN- Agencies and international NGOs in emergency, recovery, rehabilitation and developmental programs. SOSCO is committed to continue and work with IDPs and host communities through the provision of WASH services, Education, Protection, Food security, Environmental and Climate Change, Nutrition and health services
